As a part of NEON’s neighborhood wayfinding system, the City of Norfolk allowed an artistic vinyl wrap around the intersection’s traffic signal box at Brambleton Avenue and Granby Street. Lookmai Rattana’s design addresses the recent rise in numbers of apartment buildings in downtown. The artist thinks of home as simply a place you can come back to, no matter what shape or size. Each side of the signal box reflects a different time of the day and season of the year, because a home is always there.
