Transparent Seas

Created by renowned artist Jason Levesque with digital marketing agency Grow, the 40-foot interactive mural serves as a beacon for the district. The multi-layered artwork transforms with interactive LED lights based on the movements of its onlookers, revealing different layers of the artwork under different colors of light. NEON Wayfinding Posters 2024

In 2017, Work Program Architects, Downtown Norfolk Council and Sway Creative Labs joined forces to create an artistic sign package for NEON that included pedestrian signs, gateway fixtures and sidewalk “breadcrumbs” to lead visitors around the neighborhood. The NEON District and the condo owners of the Gray Building partner on providing a rotating window gallery space for young and emerging artists. In the fall of 2024, featured young artists representing Solstice Hybrid Academy are on display. Volunteer at NEON Festival

Volunteers are needed on Friday, October 17 during the second evening of the NEON Festival. Two shifts are available, 6pm to 8pm and 8pm to 10pm. Jobs include pouring beer, assisting at the information booth and guiding visitors around the District. Register here. Thanks for partying down with NEON!
