Plot Billboard

In 2013, artist Alex Brannin created this mural for Better Block at the encouragement of Alchemy NFK. This first activation of Norfolk’s fledgling arts district was a temporary urban intervention aimed at revitalizing underused spaces through public art, community gathering, and walkable design. Hampton Roads, The Canvas

Hampton Roads: The Canvas was the definition of a grassroots effort, pre-NEON District. A group of like-minded individuals saw a need in Norfolk. They rallied support, organized around a derelict building, even secured small monetary contributions from the public to purchase paint materials. Daevid’s Flowers and Decor

Daevid’s Flowers and Decor was a longtime Norfolk event business and florist. For many years, orchids graced two sides of the building. Call For Artists

Hundreds of artists have passed through NEON walls over the years. Big or small, international or your next door neighbor, high school student or college professor - artists of all kinds and skill levels are welcome to contribute to the NEON District's public art collection.
