Daisies
Located in the Renova Center’s parking lot, a health and wellness center, Kelsey Witt’s mural pays homage to the healing process, which can take two forms, physical or mental healing. A body’s cells must heal for a rebirth, symbolized by the mural’s blooming flowers.

Aimee Bruce’s Solidarity, inspired by George Orwell’s Animal Farm, relates to our overall political situation regarding the events and setbacks that have taken place. Similar to the animals banding together to support the shed, we the people must also combine efforts to transcend the boundaries that keep us from progressing to a viable future.

Chicago-based artist Erik L. Peterson is the creator of Seep NFK, a monumental pink neon ooze sculpture installed on the north side of the residences at 801 Granby Street. First seen in the inaugural exhibition at Work Release, Seep was reconfigured for long term public view on an exterior wall in the NEON District.

In 2016 and 2017, Governor’s School for the Arts students painted benches to provide public seating and enhance NEON’s street life. The City of Norfolk generously donated vintage benches from Town Point Park.

Artist Heather Bryant’s mural on Virginia Furniture’s storage container promotes universal harmony by depicting diverse characters connected by dots woven into a vibrant and interconnected pattern.
