Meter Pole Bike Sculptures

The Governor's School for the Arts Students

2015

When parking meter heads were removed in the NEON District (free parking!) the empty poles became a creative canvas for The Governor’s School for the Arts visual arts student. With a new Bend-It PVC tool, teacher Liana Courts led the class in fabricating wild sculptures that attached to the poles. Inspired by a city-wide movement to embrace biking, the PVC tubes took the shape of bicycles, faces and other fun imaginations.
