The 8th Annual NEON Festival returns to NFK Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20, 2023!
Presented by Arts Alliance and Old Dominion University, this free festival welcomes everyone to experience the NEON District through art exhibitions, local and national performances, mural tours and programming unique to Norfolk’s first arts neighborhood.
The 2023 celebration includes:
  • The Chrysler Museum of Art open late Thursday
  • Glass After Dark at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio
  • Dynamic Opening Reception at d’Art Center Friday
  • Live music and curated photography exhibition by the Night Shift Collective at Commune NFK
  • The Plot Beer Garden and entertainment Friday evening
  • 1 big mural unveiling at Brambleton & Granby
  • NEON District Public Art Tours both nights with Norfolk Tour Company
  • Foster Beauty X NEON Festival Fashion Show at Harrison Opera House Friday
  • Pop up art galleries in local businesses
  • Community programming from The Governor’s School for the Arts, Teens With a Purpose, Push Comedy Theater, Hurrah Players and many more!
OPEN CALL FOR PERFORMERS & ARTISTS LIVE NOW
The community is invited to participate in the NEON Festival through a free open call. Artists can submit artworks for submission in pop-up galleries. Musicians, bands and performers can submit for a festival slot in a number of local businesses and outdoor venues. Submit through the online form here by Sunday, August 20.

The NEON Festival is produced by Downtown Norfolk Council and The Chrysler Museum of Art.
