Renewable Energies Exhibition Call for Artists

TCC’s Visual Arts & Design Center and the NEON District are excited to announce an open call for artists to participate in a 2025 exhibition, “Renewable Energies.” Centered around the ideas of change and renewal, regional artists from Hampton Roads are invited to submit artwork in all visual media that illustrates this theme. The exhibition will be on view as we transition from winter into spring, reflecting the natural cycle of the seasons as a time to recharge and start anew. After more than a decade of investment and development, the neighborhood is literally under construction, building a public realm that is welcoming, creative and inspiring. During this period of dormancy, the NEON District is also anticipating a more energetic future.

This exhibition aims to create a dialogue of different perspectives and interpretations of change and renewal, representing the diversity of art emerging from the region. All visual arts media is encouraged for this exhibition, including video work as TCC will feature a special projection room dedicated to video art.
