Tim Rodgers, Jr.’s Weatherman mural is an ode to news production, both in front of and behind the camera. Local TV station WTKR’s garage now depicts a weather man in front of two weather backgrounds, one half is sunny and green and the other half is rainy and wet. The second door panel consists of a camera crew and bystanders along with a city background with a loving nod to the NEON District’s former red Labor of Love artwork atop the cityscape.
Adjacent to the 2016 mural 757 Energy & Vibe by Jerrod Ray on WTKR property in the NEON District, the project is a collaboration with both the property owner, local television studio WTKR, and PRA Group, the presenting sponsor. PRA Group is committed to making an impact in the communities in which we live and work and played an essential role in facilitating the NEON District’s new public art mural.
